Blue Cheese Spread Treat Appetizer:

This Recipe, shared by the Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation.  Complete regards and compliments with the sharing of this recipe with me.  Great dish to please the pallet, while allowing for a healthy, social, table-top snack prior to dinner.  
NOTE: Use Hemp Oil, or Flax Seed Oil to strengthen the Healthy Omega Fatty Acid Content, and Low-Fat or Non-Fat Cream Cheese.


BLUE CHEESE SPREAD


Serves 6 – 8 as an Appetizer

1          CUP    SLICED VIDALIA ONIONS
1          TSP     CANOLA OIL
1          TSP     WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
4          DROPS           TABASCO
SALT AND BLACK PEPPER TO TASTE
8          OZ      SOFT (ROOM TEMPERATURE) CREAM CHEESE
1          OZ      CREAMY BLUE CHEESE
AGED BALSAMIC VINEGAR

Cooking Directions:

- Saute onions in canola oil until soft and caramelized and season with salt and pepper. 
- Allow to cook down to room temperature.
- In mixer, add onions and all remaining ingredients.
- Mix slowly until the onions break down and the spread becomes smooth.
- Store or serve immediately with crunchy bread.
- Garnish spread with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
