Late Night Snacks that Won't Make You Gain Weight?

Eating late at night usually isn't a good choice if you're trying to keep off the pounds, but there are healthy options available when you get that midnight craving. Protein is always a better choice over late night carbohydrates and of course, fat.

Greek Yogurt?

Protein
Greek yogurt has more protein than ordinary yogurt. Per ounce, Greek yogurt has 1 additional gram of protein.
A 6 oz. serving of greek yogurt has a total of 15 grams of protein.

Reduced Sugar
Greek yogurt is made by straining the whey off yogurt numerous times to create its thick texture. During this process, most of the natural sugar is removed.

Lactobacteria
Greek yogurt contains essential healthy bacteria that can improve intestinal health, reduce diarrhea, and help prevent vaginal yeast infections.

Calcium
A 6 oz. Serving of greek yogurt has about 20% of your daily calcium needs.

Low-Fat Popcorn?

- It helps you relax and fills you up.  It is also listed in my "200 Snacks Under 100 Calories" that my clients obtain with their Nutritional Plan
Banana?

NO!
- Too much sugar before bed time.  The argument that it helps you fall asleep is not worth the weight gain.  Instead opt for high protein turkey instead.  In addition, if cramps are a problem at night for you, look into supplementing with the natural product: Quinine.

Dark Chocolate?

Yes and No...
- It does contain high antioxidants, and is low in sugar, but keep in mind PORTION CONTROL.  Go the extra step further and measure out what your serving would be; don't keep eating it until you are full.
